Install a Canon Pixma MP252 in Ubuntu

I needed to install that printer on a Ubuntu computer. I'm not a specialist in Linux and when I found the solution thought to share the solution with everyone. That worked for the Canon MP252 but the steps may work for another models.

First of all, download the Linux IJ Printer Driver from the official Canon web. It will download a mp250 printer dirver 3.40.tar compressed file. Uncompress the file. 

Now you have 3 files:

cnijfilter-mp250series-3.40-1-deb.tar.gz

cnijfilter-mp250series-3.40-1-rpm.tar.gz

guidemp250series-pd-3.40-1_en.tar.gz

Extract each file (I really don't know if it's necessary but it worked).

Ok, it's time to open a Terminal. Go to the cnijfilter-mp250series-3.40-1-deb folder.

To open a folder in Terminal, use cd, to leave a folder use cd .

To list the content of the folder type ls

Type sudo ./install.sh

It wil start the installation. Just follow the steps.

You can do the same with the scanner driver.
